Bio for Edward L. Walker

Edward Walker is an experienced educator that has committed his entire professional career to the realm of education. Whether recruiting prospective students for colleges, guiding high school students through the college application and selection process or assisting individuals to achieve their next level of education, Ed has always had the desire to aid others in educational advancement.

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts Ed is a product of Boston Public Schools. He graduated from Charlestown High School, in Charlestown, MA before obtaining his bachelor degree in African American Studies with a concentration in English from Bates College, in Lewiston, Maine.

Currently he is, the Associate Director of College Counseling and Director of Alumni Relations at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the secondary circuit, Ed was an Assistant Dean of Admissions at his alma mater and then moved on to be a Senior Assistant Director at Wheaton College, in Norton, MA. While working at both institutions, Ed led the initiatives of diversity, through his efforts in Multicultural Recruitment.

Most recently, in 2008, Ed founded I.C.E or Independents Consultants of Education, which is a small consortium of educators devoted to helping individuals or groups achieve higher education, by any means, regardless of what the next step may be.
